- Are you facing criminal charges stemming from an incident caused or strongly influenced by your mental illness?
- Do you believe your rights or dignity have been violated by the court system, state hospital system, health care provider, or educational institution as a result of your mental health diagnosis?
- Are you a family member who feels the mental health care system has failed to meet the needs of your loved one?
- Are you experiencing interpersonal conflict resulting from mental illness? Are you interested in participating in a dialog facilitated by a professional mediator trained to advocate for a resolution that best promotes and supports the mental health of both parties?
Partner for Mental Health maintains strong and collaborative relationships with diverse members of the criminal justice and mental health care systems. When appropriate, we advocate on behalf of clients for alternatives to incarceration, sentencing outcomes that include opportunities for treatment, and interventions that reflect the principles of trauma informed care while also maintaining safety and security.
Partner for Mental Health also provides mediation services delivered by a professional mediator who is also a trained psychiatric nurse. Her mediation skills, coupled with her expert knowledge of mental health issues, enable her to address cases with specialized awareness other may lack. She has had considerable success finding creative resolution to challenging cases that both parties are able to embrace.
