Often we think of addiction in terms of substances like alcohol, nicotine, and other drugs, but it is important to remember that addiction can take other forms, as well. At Partner for Mental Health we support clients working toward recovery from compulsive behaviors related to shopping or shoplifting, gaming, gambling, eating and exercise, and sex.

We are grateful that people are willing to share their experience, strength, and hope to help others find the path to healing and wellness. Shame and embarrassment can prevent people for reaching out or sharing their stories, and the non-judgement and candor found in the rooms of support groups is invaluable. The power of stigma is real, and one of the best ways to reduce stigma is to tell our stories and share our truths.
