More Navigator updates, digital resources, and news:

The United Universalist Congregation of Charlottesville has again selected PMH for its June donations recipient. Dr. Shaune McKinnon, PMH’s Board President, will make a brief presentation at the church on June 8th.

PMH Navigators part of three co-responder teams in the  Charlottesville/Albemarle area.  We have four Navigators as part of two County HART teams and two Navigators with Charlottesville’s ANCHOR team.  All four PMH Navigators will travel to Atlanta, GA, June 1-4, to attend the 6th annual International Co-Responder Conference in Atlanta, GA, hosted by Highland Rivers Behavioral Health. This conference will provide important updates to this rapidly developing national partnership among law enforcement, first responders, and behavioral health professionals to respond to client needs.

ICRA Mission Statement:
“The International Co-Responder Alliance (ICRA) was established to unite,
promote, strengthen, and expand multi-disciplinary co-responder
programs, while improving outcomes for first responders, behavioral
health professionals and individuals affected by behavioral health issues.”

July 1st will mark the first anniversary of ANCHOR. The team has been featured recently in a video on the city of Charlottesville’s website here where you can learn more about Navigators Pam Coburn and Norman Dorise’s efforts.

SAMSHA (Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration) has a Mental Health Toolkit for Mental Health Month May you can download from this link here.  The Toolkit has social media messages, stickers, best practices for supportive
and beneficial discussions about mental health and additional resources for
increasing awareness about mental health in May and beyond.
